Tom Humphries – CEO & Chairman
Tom brings to I-PEM a mountain of experience in growing successful businesses and is one of the founding Directors of I-PEM.
In the immediate years prior to I-PEM’s incorporation, Tom led the team that acquired Centric Telecom with the backing of Alchemy Partners in 2001. Growing the business to a turnover of over £10m. In 2007 Centric Telecom was successfully sold.
Before Centric Telecom, Tom had spent 5 years driving the BT DSL program through to launch and a few months working with Concert, the joint venture between BT and AT&T, as Director – Technical Marketing
Tom’s initial roles were with the technology giant Plessey/Marconi where he had many roles including, Business Systems Analyst, Project Manager/Director and finally Deputy Managing Director.
Helen Neilly (ACMA) – Managing Director
Helen is one of the founding Directors of I-PEM. Prior to establishing I-PEM, Helen built and developed the Finance, Business Systems and HR teams at Centric Telecom. Helen joined Centric in 2004 sourcing the investment finance for acquisitions and driving organic growth achievements to a turnover exceeding £10m. Helen was part of the team working with Tom to complete the successful sale of Centric Telecom in June of 2007.
Helen is a chartered management accountant. Her previous roles have included Consultancy whilst based in Sydney during 2002 and 2003. Commercial Product Performance Manager for Interxion (in The Netherlands), Finance Controller at COLT, International Financial Planning at British Telecom and Network Optimisation at MCI Worldcom.
John Orpin - Head of Business Development
Immediately prior to joining I-PEM, John was a management consultant working with the boards of companies set up joint ventures, with EU backing, particularly in Eastern/Central Europe. This work also involved a close working relationship with the Governments concerned.
John has worked with the Boards of many companies including X/OPEN and was head hunted by Heinz Nixdorf, founder of Nixdorf Computers, to establish operations in Bruxelles where he successfully raised funds for a number of Nixdorf projects.
John has a background in military and civil service mostly overseas with close ties to NATO and other similar international organisations.
